As most of you may know by now, i am planning to run a 9-10 psi setup via CRV crank pulley. Do you guys recommend a block guard under these boost conditions? Is the money spend better invested elsewhere?

Those of you who are running a 9-10 psi setup, are you using a blockguard of any kind???

    Thumbs up

Block Guards are not needed till 16-18psi, which is a no on your Supercharged Car...

The block guard is something you do not need for "most" street applications. What you need if you go higher than the average high boost on a JRSC car which is 8-12 PSI(which many folks on this board do run without fault with heavy-precise tuning) is new pistons, rods, and sleeves. What first goes on a GSR is the ring lands on the stock pistons, those tend to fail at anything above 10psi. Being that the guys who run between 9-12 PSI do not or have not started to rag the crap out of their cars, they have not had any problems. The longest 9+psi guys on the board with a charger have run for over a year without issues, but tuning is the key and they are very "precise" about it.

With a 6psi GSR, stock everything but the fuel pump will suffice, the JR Map Mod is a good idea and probably come with the newer kits(I never saw tip in detonation till 40 thousand miles of supercharged ragging of my car, I have no fu**ing clue why)

No on block guard!! They are not needed for anything that a streetable JR GSR is ready for!

Block guards are not a good idea for the street. I suggest you spend your money on another mod.
